Sports & Fitness

Ricky remembers his first time he stood on a baseball diamond: the dust and dirt swirling in the air, the bat feeling like it weighed a thousand pounds. More than that, he remembers the pride and excitement he felt when he hit his first homerun and struck out his first batter.

Now 15, Ricky experiences this pride and excitement playing baseball for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee. Not only that, he receives advanced training and instruction to improve his talent and skill. He hopes to turn his love and talent for baseball into a college scholarship and a world of opportunity.

Beyond Just Fun and Games

Yes, Sports, Fitness & Recreation offerings are fun, but their benefits go beyond that. They teach members how to work in teams, how to lose gracefully and win humbly. They promote a healthy and active lifestyle. In short, after the games and practices are done, the lessons instilled through these programs will remain.

The Clubs offers something for every type of member. Whether competitive or non-competitive, beginner or advanced, for 6-year-olds or 18-year-olds, the Clubs has the right program, class or league.
