Camp Whitcomb/Mason Triathlon

Every year, triathletes of all ages and abilities come to Camp Whitcomb/Mason, located 35 miles west of Milwaukee, for its triathlon. This year’s event, which happens on Sunday, August 9, consists of:

Swim: 1/3 mile lake swim. Start at 8:00 a.m. in waves, 3 minutes apart. Camp issued swim caps are mandatory.

Bike: 22 mile bike loop course loops through the Kettle Moraine. Helmets are mandatory.

Run: 3.1 mile looped course, 2 water stations.

Two Transition Areas: Cycling and running gear must be placed in separate transition areas located about 1/8 mile apart.

The race is timed with the ChampionChip Electronic Timing System. Participants are required to wear a ChampionChip, strapped on their ankle, throughout the race. Chips will be collected at the end of the Finish Zone. If you have your own ChampionChip, it must be listed on the registration form.

Awards are presented to the first overall female and male winners; top three finishers in designated age groups, Clydesdale, Athena, and relay team categories.
